15th Annual International Conference on the St. Lawrence River / Great Lakes Ecosystem
St. Lawrence River Institute of Environmental Sciences (4/16)
This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the St. Lawrence Seaway including the Moses-Saunders dam. The conference, May 6-8, will focus on current issues regarding managing this and similar systems, the ecological and social challenges to help describe what the future holds for regulated rivers and water in Canada and around the world.

The Brookings Metropolitan Policy Program, in partnership with a network of academic, public policy, business and civic organizations, began a multi-year research and policy development initiative in 2005 to improve the economic vitality of the Great Lakes region. This site provides updates on progress.
