What's New Asian carp public meeting in Chicago (2/5) U.S. EPA, on behalf of the Asian Carp Regional Coordinating Committee, will hold a meeting in Chicago on Feb. 12 to discuss plans and get recommendations on Asian carp control efforts. The committee will answer questions and listen to comments from the public. Register now for Great Lakes Days in Washington, D.C. (1/22) The 2010 Semiannual Meeting of the Great Lakes Commission and "Great Lakes Days in Washington" will be held Feb. 22-24. Events will feature dialogue on Great Lakes priorities by regional leaders and members of Congress. Register now! Tackling Invasive Species in the Great Lakes (1/20) A panel discussion on invasive species will be held today (Wed., Jan. 20) at the University of Michigan Law School. The event is free and open to the public. Join the panelists as they consider how best to address the problem of invasives - particularly those that enter the Great Lakes through the ballast water of ships. Listening to Your Rivers Conference (1/11) The "Listening to YOUR Rivers: Boosting Environmental Stewardship in Your Community" conference takes place January 15, 2010 in Traverse City, Mich.
